With another Tippecanoe County Fair in the books, the Brawlin’ Dolls have access to their practice space once again and have resumed their regular schedule. They’re preparing for the second half of their 2014 season, a fall schedule that now includes two home games and two road dates.

LBD will skate at home on Saturday, Sept. 13 vs. A-Town Roller Derby (Anderson, Ind.) and Saturday, Nov. 15 vs. the Aurora 88s (Aurora, Ill.). Doors open at 6 p.m. and action begins at 7 p.m. for home bouts at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.

The Brawlin’ Dolls are also set to travel to Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin for road games this fall. Both road tests will be the week before the home games, setting up a pair of challenging back-to-back weekends of action for LBD. The Saturday, Sept. 6 game at the DuPage Derby Dames‘ Onslaught team will mark the beginning of the fall schedule. LBD will skate in the nightcap of the doubleheader Sept. 6 in Roselle, Ill. The game at the Beloit Bombshells is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Special thanks goes out to all the fans who stopped by the LBD outdoor scrimmage at Lafayette OUTfest Aug. 2 in Downtown Lafayette. The Brawlin’ Dolls also welcomed visiting skaters from the South Shore Roller Girls (NW Indiana) and Bone City Rollers (Warsaw, Ind.) to town for the scrimmage. Thanks to those skaters for making the trip to Lafayette. Check out Pinola Photography’s gallery from the scrimmage HERE.
